In her latest single “Breathe Again”, Serene opens up about a personal story that embodies the soul of her loss and the metamorphosis of her grief.
It is one of her most honest works yet, raw and unafraid to show you her tears or glimpses of her profound sorrow in having to say one of the hardest goodbyes. While the thought of laying herself bare like this makes her anxious, she followed her heart, as she always has when it comes to her music and it led her here.
In retrospect, producing “Breathe Again” was part of her healing process and it is this story of finding light and courage that she wishes to share, longing to comfort others who feel trapped by their own pain. Now more than ever, she discovers there is strength in vulnerability. That we heal by sharing our stories. We are, not alone.

The song draws inspiration from the series that revolves around universally relatable themes of love, loss and longing. It is a warm reflection of how destiny intricately leads us to what is meant for us.

as SINGING MENTOR
龚芝怡担任 《SPOP 听我唱》歌唱导师
Premiering on 9 Aug 2018, watch the prelude episode of SPOP Sing!, a singing competition organized by Mediacorp Channel 8, which sees the involvement of prominent Singapore artists, songwriters and producers in the search for homegrown talent. Serene's role is that of singing mentor, 歌唱导师, others include well known veterans Billy Koh and Lee Si Song as judges, Nathan Hartono, Joanna Dong and Boon Hui Lu as ambassadors. The grand finals of the competition will be hald at the Padang on 4 Nov 2018.
Serene will be mentoring and coaching all 20 contestants all the way to the Grand Finals!

Serene, together with top music acts in Asia, performed at the Global Chinese Golden Charts Awards on 5 May at the LeSports stadium, a Beijing Olympics Venue, and was awarded "Outstanding Artiste Of The Year" presented by UFM100.3, for charting a total of 10 weeks on the Global Chinese Godlen Chart with her song 《当世界只剩下我一个人》, which was ranked Global Top20 songs of H12016, along with singers Stefanie Sun and JJ Lin.
Performing 当世界只剩下我一个人, she took stage along with a total of 20 acts from China, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia including MayDay, PowerStation, Angela Chang, LION, Della Ding Dang, Jacky Xue,
